Introduction to the NAOF
The National Audit Office of Finland (NAOF) is Finland’s independent national Supreme Audit Institution. Its audits and oversight cover not only central government finances as a whole but partly also other aspects of general government finances.
Through its work, the NAOF supports the rule of law, democracy, and the principles of good governance and a sustainable economy in Finland, the European Union, and globally. The NAOF ensures that general government works as it should, consequently building up citizens’ trust in the authorities. Read more about the NAOF’s activities.
