Maritime transport subsidies

The audit examines the effectiveness of maritime transport subsidies, i.e. their efficient administration, economic and effective allocation and appropriate risk management. In addition, the audit ensures that the subsidies are administered and reported on transparently and that the subsidy scheme is sustainable. The decision to initiate the audit was justified particularly by the significance of the topic for central government finances and the audit gap. The audit may also identify significant development needs in the maritime transport subsidy scheme.
