Purchased services in primary health care outpatient clinics
Report to be published: 15.03.2027 at 06.45The audit focuses on outpatient clinic operations in primary health care. The objective of the audit is to examine the economic efficiency and functioning of services purchased for clients directly from private service providers. In 2024, the costs of purchased services and temporary agency staff amounted to EUR 245 million. The functioning of purchased services also has indirect effects on the cost-effectiveness of in-house service provision, as problems for example in the coordination of services and in the continuity of care may increase the total costs of service provision.
