The development and use of identification services in public administration

On the basis of the audit, identification service infrastructure has been developed strongly in public administration. The need for the use of identification services in electronic transactions has not been studied adequately, however. The audit examined the implementation and coordination of projects aimed at developing identification services in public administration, cooperation among authorities in this area and compliance with legislation in procuring services. This document contains a summary of the main results of the audit. The entire audit report is available only in Finnish.
